Test Flight #1
Test Flight is a platform for hybrid practice in music and contemporary performance, created by Speak Percussion and Chamber Made. This opportunity is for artists to share work at its early stage of development, and get feedback from industry and peers. Test Flight is a low stress, light touch, supportive context for artists at all stages of practice.

FAQs
Is this only for established artists? No. Test Flight is open to artists at all stages of practice – we encourage artists at any point in their career to apply.
What kind of work are you looking for? Early-stage work, works-in-progress, or “seeds of practice” that are beginning to sprout. The work should be sound-led, but can be interdisciplinary.
How long will my presentation be? 15 minutes.
How many artists will be selected? Six artists will be selected for Test Flight #1.
What technical support is available? Artists are expected to be self-sufficient technically. Lighting support is not provided, however a PA system will be available. If you require additional equipment, please flag this in your application and we can have a conversation about what is possible.
Will documentation be provided? Yes, documentation will be provided via locked-off video camera footage (unedited).
Is childcare support available? Yes, childcare support can be arranged if needed. Please indicate this in your application.
What is the artist fee? Each successful application receives a $500 fee plus superannuation. If you work with collaborators or a collective, only the lead applicant receives this fee. How you distribute this among your team is between you and your collaborators.
